Samsung Electronics announced the launch of i200, slim and compact smartphone. Compact bar-type design and the most up-to-date features will be the ideal choice for business professionals who are looking for the smart yet stylish mobile phone.

Supporting the Windows Mobile 6.1, Samsung i200 provides functional and practical features in business. Users can operate MS Office programs such as Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Outlook promptly. Intuitive User Interface provides direct-access to the most of menus and easy navigation in home screen. Especially, the phone is very efficient in email features offering HTML format email, easy editing (cut, copy and paste), and unified email and SMS/MMS management. Automatic pop-up helps users know whenever they get email and always be connected.

The slim bar-type form factor with mere 11.8 mm thinness offers compact and stylish design, which is hardly witnessed in most of smartphones. A large enough 2.3” QVGA TFT screen with glossy coating makes users to fully enjoy multimedia contents and complicated business information.

Furthermore, i200 gears up business efficiency through HSDPA 3.6 Mbps data communications. In addition to that, it’s unique ‘light sensor’ can help users minimize the power consumption to adjust lightness of LCD and keypad automatically. Multimedia features such as a 2-megapixel camera and music player enhance users’ entertainment experience.

Geesung Choi, President of Samsung’s Telecom Business, said Samsung is going to offer more diverse smartphones for business professionals in line with its recently declared strategy ‘a mobile for every lifestyle’.

“Samsung i200 is the young, stylish and energetic mobile which will be the perfect mate for urban business professionals,” Choi said.

Samsung i200 will be launched in the European market in June and will enter other market within a month.

Born from a unique heritage of innovation and a deep desire to blend design with simplicity, HTC Corp., a global leader in mobile phone innovation and design, today unveiled its new flagship phone, the HTC TouchDiamond. Delivering unmistakable style and meticulous craftsmanship the HTC Touch Diamond is defined by its compact size, game-changing Internet and its new captivating 3D touch interface called TouchFLO 3D. The result is an uncompromising mobile phone that sets a new benchmark for phone sophistication and shapes consumer expectations for how a phone can be used.

“Today we mark a new era in mobile phone evolution, an era where beauty and size integrate with uncompromising innovation at broadband speeds,” said Peter Chou, president and CEO, HTC Corp. “The HTC Touch Diamond will make browsing the Web and using Web-enabled applications just as practical and easy to use as making calls.”

A New Dimension To Touch
HTC has taken a great leap forward in touch screen innovation with the introduction of its new 3D touch interface called TouchFLO 3D. TouchFLO 3D provides animated access to people, messaging, email, photos, music, weather and more. In addition, HTC is introducing a new innovative touch-sensitive control for interacting with Touch Diamond.

Making The Mobile Internet Fun
With the introduction of the Touch Diamond, HTC delivers an entirely new mobile Internet experience that utilizes broadband-like speeds with HSDPA 7.2 Mbps and HSUPA wireless connectivity. Committed to improving Web browsing, HTC provides a new customized mobile Web browser that enables easy viewing and effortless navigation of Websites in the way they were designed. As part of this browsing experience users can zoom and pan Websites with one-hand and automatically view optimized content that has been specially created to fit the display. Turning the device sideways automatically rotates the web page view from a portrait to landscape view.

In addition to Web browsing, the Touch Diamond includes a customized new, HTC-developed, YouTube application for watching a variety of user generated video content as well as utilizing Google Maps for mobile for mapping and traffic data.

Unmatched Style and Size
The Touch Diamond is crafted with precision to fit comfortably in a user’s hand without compromising on features or functionality. Blending contrasting design elements of metal and unique geometric facets, the Touch Diamond complements a user’s personal style.

Bursting with Innovation
The Touch Diamond delivers an unrivalled combination of features and functionality that set a new standard for integrating mobile phone innovation into a small package. The 2.8 inch display provides near-print quality viewing that enables beautiful Web browsing and viewing of photographs. The built-in camera includes an optical auto-focus lens that ensures the photos you take will be clear and consistent. Advanced wireless and auto sensor screen pivoting are just a few of the features that make the Touch Diamond experience a stand out.

Availability
The HTC Touch Diamond™ will be available to customers across all major European carriers in June. It will be available later this quarter in Asia and the Middle East. The North American and Latin American versions of the Touch Diamond will be available in the second half of 2008.

“Our long-standing relationship with HTC meant they shared their phone concept and worked with us from the earliest stage. This early collaboration is important to us because at Orange, we know that the right multimedia experience is about more than just the phone,” said Olaf Swantee, EVP of Orange’s global mobile operations. “Our approach is to select and test the best phones and integrate our applications, combining them with access to the Orange World portal, the best tariffs, integrated billing, a user-friendly interface and excellent customer support. With the Touch Diamond from Orange we have created a unique phone which has taken advantage of our latest service innovation to build upon the consistently rich experience customers expect from Orange.”

ASUS today launched the world’s first stand-alone color processor with a modularized graphics card – the ASUS Splendid MA3850M; which combines a video enhance card with the ASUS Splendid HD processor and a modularized VGA card. The ASUS Splendid HD processor increases image quality to deliver sharper, more vividly colored visual outputs without increasing CPU loadings; while automatically selecting the best possible display modes for exceptional quality visuals. On par with generic ATI Radeon™ HD 3850 VGA cards in terms of 3DMark performance, the Splendid MA3850M is able to reduce power consumption for more energy savings. Additionally, the overall length of the Splendid MA3850M is 27% shorter than generic ATI Radeon™ HD 3850 graphics cards – allowing a perfect fit even for smaller-chassis users.

Enhanced Image Quality without Increasing CPU Load
The ASUS Splendid HD processor utilizes the newest generation of Splendid video intelligence technology. This provides vibrant and fine-tuned images in conditions most favorable to the human eye, without any increase in CPU loading. Watching movies on PC monitors can now be as good as watching them on top-of-the-line consumer televisions, all thanks to the 7-region color enhancement, 12-bit gamma correction, real-time 2D peaking and dynamic contrast engine of this powerful chip. In addition, it automatically selects the best possible display modes for the most exceptional quality visuals – with inclusions of a Photo Mode, Video Mode, and Game Mode. Furthermore, it allows users to adjust image sharpness and optimization according to the display panel.

Lower Power Consumption for Energy Savings
The ASUS Splendid MA3850M also comes with the ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 3850 GPU that supports the ATI PowerPlay™ technology. It also provides breakthrough energy efficiency in terms of performance-per-Watt while retaining outstanding 3DMark06 scores* – making it the best green product for gaming enthusiasts.

Unique Hardware Design
With a length that is 27% shorter than generic ATI Radeon™ HD 3850 graphics cards, the Splendid MA3850M will still fit perfectly for smaller-chassis users**. It is also designed on a stylish black circuit board, and the fansink and bracket exude a feeling of ‘gamer-chic’ – making the Splendid MA3850M an attractive and physically appealing product for users to enjoy 3D Gaming and home theater at the same time. Last but not the least, the modularized design concept makes the graphics card able to be easily upgraded in the future.

Catering to users who require top-notch graphics cards that deliver exceptional graphics, ASUS, producer of top quality graphic solutions, has today introduced the new ASUS EN9600GSO TOP/HTDP/384M and EN9600GSO/HTDP/384M graphic cards. The ASUS EN9600GSO TOP/HTDP/384M is the world’s first overclocking version of the GeForce 9600GSO chipset – allowing users to enjoy 11% improvements in gaming experiences. Additionally, both models come equipped with the newest thermal solution – the uniquely designed Glaciator Fansink, which features quiet and efficient heat dissipation to enable stable performance. Furthermore, the integrated SmartDoctor feature will provide users with the option to overclock the Shader Clock for even better graphical performances.

Up to 11% Performance Upgrades
With the EN9600GSO TOP/HTDP/384M, gamers can expect core, shader, and memory clock performance boosts from 550MHz up to 600MHz, from 1375MHz up to 1700MHz, and from 800MHz up to 900MHz respectively. Such unprecedented performance upgrades help elevate the EN9600GSO TOP/HTDP/384M’s 3DMark06 score from 10087 to 11208 – an astounding 11% improvement in speed when compared to generic designed boards*. Gamers can now experience the rush of superb gaming performances only with the ASUS EN9600GSO TOP/HTDP/384M.

Extreme Cooling with Exclusive Glaciator Fansink
The ASUS EN9600GSO Series utilizes the Glaciator Fansink that is specially designed to effectively dissipate heat away from the graphics card. Much like real-life glacial storms, the Glaciator Fansink quickly transfers heat away from the GPU to help lower temperatures. Besides this extreme cooling capacity, it operates very quietly with noise levels of only 25dB – almost imperceptible in a quiet room; and caters to users who require maximum cooling without excessive fan rotation noise.

Overclock the Shader Clock with New SmartDoctor
ASUS garners a world’s first by providing an overclocking utility that is able to tweak the Shader Clock on GPUs with new SmartDoctor. With this application, users will be able to overclock the Shader Clock and Engine Clock independently for astonishing performance boosts without the hassles of rebooting or re-flashing their BIOS**.

Unprecedented Rock Solid Quality from ASUS
In line with the Rock Solid promise of quality from ASUS, the EN9600GSO Series comes with several solutions to provide top quality graphic performances. The temperature of the newly adopted DIP Spring Chokes is 5~10°C lower in comparison to traditional Toroidal Coil Chokes; while the all Japan-made polymer capacitors lowers power loss to provide more stable operations. Users will be able to enjoy the extreme performance with the peace of mind that the ASUS EN9600GSO Series provides uncompromising quality.

Exclusive ASUS GamerOSD for Versatile Graphics Usage
The ASUS EN9600GSO Series also comes with the exclusive ASUS GamerOSD that unleashes the true power of ASUS’ VGA cards. This feature is able to deliver GPU overclocking from onscreen displays during games – allowing users real-time performance upgrades when they require it. Additionally, it also provides users with the option to record live gaming action or live broadcasting over the Internet with ease.

Panasonic announces the introduction of the anticipated DMP-BD50, Panasonic’s third generation Blu-ray disc player - the ultimate playback source for high definition 1080p content. Blu-ray media offers a wide range of functions that foster the transition to HD - including 1080p image quality, lossless Dolby® TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio™ and versatile Picture-in-Picture applications. The BD50 adds the new BD-Live function, which uses the internet to further enhance the consumer’s entertainment experience and employs VIERA Link,™ a technology that allows the consumer to operate VIERA Link equipped home theater components with a single remote. The DMP-BD50 will be available this spring and will have an SRP of $699.95.

BD-Live opens up a myriad of interactive possibilities for the consumer. In the future BD-Live will allow users to connect the DMP-BD50 to the internet to download such data as images and subtitles, and to join in multi-player interactive games that are linked to bonus movie content contained on Blu-ray discs.

For optimum image quality the DMP-BD50 features the PHL Reference Chroma processor and P4HD i/p conversion processor, which combine to create Uniphier®, a precise digital video processor that produces sharp, crisp, natural colors that are extremely faithful to the original movie. Uniphier reflects the advance encoding and authoring technologies developed by Panasonic Hollywood Laboratory.

The true to the original source images are complimented by an exceptionally pure, accurate sound achieved through Audio Re-master and integrated decoders for the lossless Dolby True HD and DTS-HD Master Audio formats. Furthermore, the DMP-BD50 can be combined with a 7.1 channel amplifier and speakers for full 7.1 channel surround sound.

Networking is an essential product of the DMP-BD50. The included SD Memory Card slot allows for easy transferring of images from an HD camcorder or digital still camera via an SD Memory card. The consumer simply inserts the SD card into the BD50 and then can view the images on a large screen HD flat panel television with AVCHD format video images or JPEG stills in full 1920 x 1080 resolution. In addition the DMP-BD50 has been awarded the Energy Star certification.

“Panasonic was the first to bring a Blu-ray player with Bonus View (Final Standard Profile 1.1) to market and now with the DMP-BD50 we are again leading the industry with the inclusion of BD-Live,” said Paul Sabo, Panasonic, National Marketing Manager Entertainment Group. “The beauty of the Blu-ray player is that we can now see movies the way the film maker intended, in glorious HD video and audio. The consumer can now combine the new generation DMP-BD50 with a VIERA flat screen televison to create a true living in high definition experience.”

Unorthodox, adventurous contemporary art meets on-the-go technology with the inaugural Special Art Edition Inspiron 1525 laptop, featuring two exclusive artworks by Mike Ming.

Choose from “Bunch O Surfers” or “Sea Sky,” two unique designs that reflect Mike Ming’s quest to create art that relates to broad audiences, yet speaks directly to everyone.

The laptops are available for order today, starting at $699, at www.dell.com/art.

A new Dell manufacturing technique brings alive every color and brushstroke on the laptop’s cover, creating a fluid, graffiti-inspired tattoo effect that lets style pioneers add another level of individuality to everyday life.

The Inspiron 1525 is up to 25 percent smaller, thinner and almost a half a pound lighter than its predecessor. Consumers on the go will appreciate all of the optional wireless features that help them stay connected, whether it’s at the desk, in a room, around the house or just about anywhere in a wireless network.1

Brooklyn-based artist Mike Ming (born Michael Miyahira) brings fascination with popular culture and life experiences to the canvas. “I wanted to create a sense of energy, playfulness, sophistication and psychedelic momentum when I started this,” said Ming. “This new technique from Dell brings my inspiration—water and the energy it produces—to life and gives computer aficionados their own display of style.”

“Our customers have asked that we continue to look at other areas of life, apart from technology, to help bring a sense of uniqueness to their computers,” said Ed Boyd, vice president of Consumer Experience Design at Dell. “Mike Ming and the other artists in the series represent the shift in the level of customer design input, a trend we’re excited to see continue.”

Today, Microsoft Corp. and Hyundai-Kia Automotive Group (HKAG) entered into a long-term agreement to co-develop the next generation of in-car infotainment systems. Bill Gates, chairman of Microsoft, and Mongku Chung, chairman of HKAG, were present as Martin Thall, general manager of Microsoft’s Automotive Business Unit, and Hyun Soon Lee, president and chief technology officer of HKAG, signed the agreement in Seoul.

Together, Microsoft and HKAG will deliver new and innovative solutions based on the Microsoft Auto software platform, bringing the future of in-car technology to Hyundai-Kia drivers worldwide.

“These new systems will redefine consumer experiences in the car,” Thall said. “Since the spring of 2006, HKAG and Microsoft have been sharing their vision for the future of in-car technology. We’re now aligned to develop the next generation of in-car infotainment systems.”
“We are pleased to partner with Microsoft to deliver high-performance infotainment solutions to our customers,” Lee said. “The advanced capabilities, flexibility and low price point make the Microsoft Auto software platform an attractive solution for us.”

The first product, a next-generation infotainment system that provides voice-controlled connectivity between mobile devices, will be introduced in the North American market in 2010. It will further apply to Asian and European markets, and expand into multimedia and navigation devices. These easy-to-use infotainment systems will allow consumers to enjoy music in various digital formats.

The next-generation infotainment systems are comparable to mini-PCs. Even after product launch, new functions can be added or upgraded in the form of software program updates, an innovation to existing in-car multimedia technology.

The Hyundai-Kia Automotive Group’s adoption of the Microsoft Auto software platform increases Microsoft’s presence in the Asian car market and enhances the global automotive business. The engineering and marketing teams of Microsoft’s Automotive Business Unit in Redmond, Wash., will be working directly with counterparts at HKAG in Seoul to support this goal. Microsoft Auto-powered systems are currently available in Fiat Auto Group vehicles in Europe and South America and Ford Motor Co. vehicles in North America.

In a related announcement, Microsoft and Hyundai-Kia, along with the Institute for Information Technology Advancement (IITA), signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to co-establish an automotive IT innovation center with the goal of promoting innovation and opportunities for Korean software and device vendors in the global market.

Last November Zune launched “Zune Social,” a music community Web site where music fans can discover new music, browse each others’ playlists, and comment on their discoveries and tastes.

In just its first five months, more than two million users have joined the community. With enough members to populate a major city, the community is almost as diverse as the world of music itself, from hardcore audiophiles and passionate music fans to people who are just crazy about the Zune player.

Brian Seitz, a Group Marketing Manager for Zune, says it’s a core goal of his team to create an experience where the diversity and knowledge of all those music fans is tapped to inspire Zune listeners to explore new music. With that in mind, the Zune team worked to incorporate extensive customer feedback into a refresh of the online music community and Zune software, which is being launched this week.

“Zune owners are pretty passionate, and they had a lot of great ideas for making the community more valuable to music fans,” he says. “And I definitely fall into that category myself — the main reason we’re all here is we love the music.”

The spring update includes enhanced features that build on the sense of community and musical exploration Zune delivers. The downloadable Zune application is now integrated with the Zune community site so members can send messages to friends, look at their music collections, shop for new content, and drag-and-drop Zune Cards to their players, all without opening a Web browser. Also, the online Zune Marketplace is offering TV episodes for download for the first time.

Zune Card Makes Musical Exploration Portable
One way to make these connections is with the free Zune Card, a sort of electronic Zune playlist, which automatically reflects the songs played on a Zune player or Zune PC software. With the spring update, the Zune Card now becomes more portable.

“For Zune Pass subscribers, dragging and dropping a friend’s Zune Card onto your Zune means that all of the music that friend has been listening to is automatically synced to your Zune, so you can listen to the full tracks when you’re out and about,” Seitz says.

With that, he says, the Zune Card makes the experience of being exposed to new music easy and automatic. Non Zune Pass subscribers still see all album art and track information, and either way, the end result is that listeners get new music they didn’t have to search for themselves, music they might not even know. Every time people sync their Zune players with their computers, their Zune Card is refreshed with the top tracks their friends have been listening to. Zune Cards can also easily be pasted into personal blogs or popular social networking sites such as Windows Live Spaces, MySpace and Facebook where Zune is listed as one of the applications.

“The cool thing about the Zune Card is that all you have to do is listen to music through the Zune service, and your Zune Card automatically lets others in the community see what you’ve been listening to,” he says. “Without doing anything other than listening to music you like, you’re basically programming a personal radio station for your friends. All of your friend’s cards are like other channels on the dial.”

Marques Lyons of Anaheim, California, started using Zune when he won one in a local raffle. A marketing professional for an online retailer by day, Marques studied music in college and plays the trombone professionally, which led to his Zune identity, “Tromboneforhire.”
According to Lyons, exploring music via other people’s Zune Cards creates a game of musical connect-the-dots that invariably leads to a new musical discovery.

“I look at other people’s cards a lot because it’s very diverse and a lot of fun,” he says. “I can start pretty much from any person’s page or any artist, end up finding not only the original artist I was going for, but maybe three or four others in the process.”

Seitz says the music community builds on a theme identified in a survey conducted by Kelton Research, in which 82 percent of respondents indicated they prefer music recommendations from people they know and trust.

According to many who use the Zune service, it’s that thoughtful approach built around community and discovery that keeps them hooked on the Zune.

“I love the ability to share and show off the music you are listening to,” says Andrea Avellan, known in the Zune community as “Ichigo Sage.” “It’s one thing to say I’m listening to this artist, but with Zune you can show and share it easily.”

Zune Pass Puts Millions of Tracks at Your Fingertips
Avellan also appreciates the monthly subscription Zune Pass, which supplements traditional pay-as-you-go downloads by giving music fans access to millions of tracks on demand, whether to explore a new genre, or fuel their next party.

“If music is your thing, you need a Zune Pass,” says Avellan. “You download things you would never think of downloading if you had to pay for each track, so you can really find a lot of music.”

Patrick Hefner, of Spartanburg, S.C., whose Zune tag is “INDMusic,” has used the Zune Pass not only to discover new music, but to reconnect with bands he’s followed in the past.

“One of those bands for me is the Presidents of the USA,” he says. “I saw them in concert, loved their first album, but lost interest for awhile. Through the Zune Pass I was reintroduced to some of their new stuff and remembered how great their music is.”

According to Seitz, the Zune Pass is one part of a multi-faceted approach to creating a great all around experience — Zune is the only entertainment experience that spans a player, a music and video store, music community, and subscription plus DRM-free MP3s.

“We’re the only ones out there providing this rich, full experience around music and media,” he says.

Music Community Thriving at Zune Social
While most members of the Zune community are content to browse, comment, and get recommendations, some are taking an active role and creating grass roots value on their own.

Hefner peruses the Zune forums as “INDMusic,” sharing music and posting helpful FAQs with tips and tricks for beginners to get the most out of their Zunes.

It’s a natural outlet for Hefner, who in 2005 founded independentmusiconline.com, as a way for unheralded artists to get their music on the Web. His site now boasts more than 200 artists from all over the world. Hefner is also a musician who has played guitar and various other instruments for 20 years. His mother has a degree in music education, and his grandfather played in a bluegrass band on a weekly radio show.

“I’ve used other music services, but the culture behind Zune is the reason I stay,” he says. “There’s a different vibe than I’ve found anywhere else. It’s great to connect with other people, and the player is really great.”

While Hefner helps educate beginners and bring them into the community, Lyons uses his “Tromboneforhire” profile page to poll his friends and ask them for recommendations about music they want to see in a playlist. He then pulls the submissions together and posts the lists for others to check out.

“When I created my Zune Social page, I wanted anybody who comes to my page to feel like they’ve stumbled onto something,” he says. “I figured people could come in, check out music, hang around, chat, but from there it snowballed into other ideas.”

His most famous idea is the “Social Soundtrack,” where Lyons asks his Zune friends to submit songs around a central theme. The last one was called “Anger Management.”

“I said if you guys had songs that get your blood pumping, which songs would they be?” Lyons says. “A lot of guys responded with more than 50 songs, so people were generally impressed with the list.”

Like Hefner, Lyons and Avellan say the reason they’re so connected to Zune is the sense of community one gets from the services.
“People write on my Zune profile saying ‘I’ve never heard of this band,’ people you wouldn’t normally talk to, and you connect over music,” says Avellan. “You don’t really get that with anything else.”

According to Lyons, those connections overcome a real social barrier that’s been presented with the proliferation of personal entertainment devices over the years, bringing back something that may have been lost since the days when friends would gather around the hi-fi to spin vinyl.
“The way people listen to music now is largely sitting by themselves with headphones on,” he says. “Here’s a chance to see what they’re listening to, listen to what they’re listening to, and then talk with them about it. The communication about different genres, styles and artists is the part of Zune I really appreciate.”

HP today announced it is making the video content of YouTube available for people to enjoy through its HP MediaSmart connected entertainment products, including the soon-to-be-released MediaSmart Connect digital media receiver and the high-definition MediaSmart TV.

HP worked with YouTube to make it possible for people to watch and share full-screen videos on their HDTVs and to create multiple playlists from anywhere they watch TV: Viewers simply log into their YouTube accounts with an easy-to-use remote control and start watching videos on their HP MediaSmart products.

“With the addition of YouTube to the HP MediaSmart platform, consumers will have even more ways to enjoy the latest entertainment on the Internet,” said Carlos Montalvo, vice president of marketing and services, Connected Entertainment Business, HP. “Bringing YouTube to HP MediaSmart products will let users browse and select a series of videos, then relax and enjoy the show on their big screens.”

The MediaSmart platform is the touchstone of HP’s connected entertainment products. All MediaSmart products aggregate digital media from multiple networked home PCs into one easy-to-view menu for HDTV playback using a remote control.

“People want to participate in the YouTube community in ways that fit their individual lifestyles,” said Jim Patterson, group product manager, YouTube. “To that end, we are excited to support HP in bringing YouTube into the living room through the MediaSmart platform.”

Using HP MediaSmart products, consumers already can access dozens of services from the Internet. For example, they can rent or purchase thousands of movies from CinemaNow, share and purchase photos from Snapfish, and listen to Internet radio from Live365.

HP MediaSmart also makes it easy for family and friends to enjoy photos, videos and music together in front of a big-screen TV by supporting a wide range of file formats. These include:

Photo: JPEG, BMP, GIF, TIFF and PNG
Video: MPEG, XVID, DVR-MS, WMV and AVI
Audio: MP3, WMA, WMA Pro and AAC (unprotected)

The iPHONE is by far the most attractive mobile phone ever. Yes there are still plenty of features missing, but for the very first mobile phone from Apple, and coming from a Windows mobile phone addicted little guy, I admit the iPHONE has great potential….

While we’re ALL waiting for the Windows Mobile 7 to arrive, there are now more and more nifty add-ons and stuff for the iPHONE like this handwriting recognition software developed by DIOTEK.

DIOTEK Co., Ltd. today announced the development of handwriting recognition software, DioPen™, for Apple iPhone.

This newly developed handwriting recognition software, DioPen™, is an input method that allows writing letters on capacitive touchscreen of Apple’s iPhone by using bare fingertip. Currently, iPhone only provides QWERTY virtual keyboard without additional input methods such as handwriting recognition widely used in most other PDAs or mobile phones with resistive touchscreen.

DioPen™ can recognize Korean, Chinese and English/European characters and digits written in cursive, print or mixed cursive/print with extreme accuracy. In addition to Apple iPhone, DioPen™ can be easily implemented with other mobile devices with capacitive touchscreen as well as resistive touchscreen.

ooVoo, an innovator in the way people communicate online, today announced the launch of a Mac version of its high quality video chat solution. The ooVoo Mac release is one of the most advanced and feature rich video communication programs available to Mac users and allows people to connect with both Mac and PC users anywhere in the world for free. The ooVoo software can be downloaded from www.ooVoo.com today.

ooVoo, a recent winner of the CNET Webware 100 Award, is changing the way friends, family and co-workers communicate online in a more meaningful way. Mac users will now be able to connect face-to-face with up to six people at once regardless of whether they are Mac or PC users. ooVoo Mac’s easy-to-use features include the ability to send and receive video messages, exchange files and text chat messages as well as import contacts from other programs.

“We have worked hard to ensure the Mac version of ooVoo offers this valuable part of our customer base one of the most dynamic video experiences available today,” said Philippe Schwartz, CEO of ooVoo. “As the highest quality cross platform Mac and PC video chat solution, we look forward to enabling more conversations between Mac and PC users across the globe, and breaking down the traditional barriers of video communication.”

Unlike instant messaging (IM) and voice over internet protocol (VoIP) solutions that have incorporated video as an add-on feature, ooVoo was developed with video at its core delivering a richer communication experience with high quality video and reduced video delay, clear audio and better lip synchronization. ooVoo’s high quality multi-party video chat, with a resolution of 320 x 240 at up to 15 frames per second, can be experienced with a standard broadband internet connection and requires only 128 Kbps (up and down) of throughput, less than half required by competitors for a one to one video chat.

The launch of the ooVoo Mac version is a milestone in the company’s ongoing Mac development program, which will see further announcements in the coming months. Full system requirements for this software version include:

· Power Mac – G5 with 1Ghz or Intel Mac with 256MB of RAM
· 20MB Hard disk space
· Mac compatible Webcam and Headset
· Broadband connection
· Tiger, Leopard (OSX 10.4 and up)

Currently friends, families and co-workers are using ooVoo to communicate face-to-face between more than 200 countries worldwide, with more the 3.5 million ooVoo video chat sessions completed each month on average. To experience ooVoo for yourself, visit www.ooVoo.com.
