Stanley Kubrick Masterpieces in Retrospective

If there’s one thing anyone who’s seen any of Stanley Kubrick films can say, it’s that they’re some of the most visually arresting features ever created. It can also be said that he picked scripts that deliberately messed with people’s minds. Anyone who’s seen his treatment of Stephen King’s The Shining will readily attest to having an image of bloody hallways and creepy twin girls burned into their retinas forever.
At the time of his death in 1999, right after completing Eyes Wide Shut (quite possibly considered his most visible mainstream film due to the participation of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman), Kubrick had a short but nonetheless impressive list of notable films. To commemorate his legacy, Warner Home Video is releasing a 10-disc box set containing five of his more popular films. We’ve put together a quick primer on what’s included in the set below.
