ShoppingRIM drops price for all Playbook models to $299
In a strange move, RIM has cut the price of all Playbook models to $299, people looking for a Playbook tablet will find that the 64GB model is priced at $299 but the 16Gb and 32GB too, it means that you must buy yours right now in order to get the higher 54GB for the price of the 16GB. This is actually a first come first served strategy aimed at cleaning the backlog of Playbooks that RIM has been accumulating for months.
The Playbook failed to gain traction on a market crowded with hundred Android tablets and commanded by the iPad in the higher end and the new Amazon.com Kindle Fire in the lower end. RIM failed miserably to even conquer its own Blackberry user base.
