Rivals will make the iPad more than successful

The iPad is here and as usual in any Apple related product or service it has caused a revolution, the ammount of people trashing the device is growing each day, Apple haters are taking this opportunity to let us know that the netbooks can do more for less and rivals are crying, but what is really important to know is how rivals are reacting to the iPad.
The iPad is just evolutionary, a giant iPod Touch that will make the future a little more difficult to Microsoft, the company behind the Origami Project that failed miserably, the company behind the UMPCs that nobody bought and the company behind the Windows Live, the ancient mobile OS that was supposed to take us to the future, but instead ended up being nothing more than a second class mobile OS; Amazon.com is in the iPad‘s crosshair, because the iBook Store direct competition with the Kindle and the childish move from Amazon.com that banned all MacMillan books from its store, a move that in the end shows how hard is the iPad hitting Amazon.com hardcore business. In the other side of the iPad soap opera is Nokia, the bigger mobile phone seller, but not the bigger profiter, something that has Nokia crying and confusing the whole thing. The response from Nokia to Steve Jobs statement about how big is Apple mobile business says too much about how Nokia is taking the iPad introduction (A Fruit Confused? by Nokia).

But what is really embarrasing is how Adobe‘s employee used a porno website to demonstrate that the iPad won’t be able to play Flash video…. Adobe on its own has trashed Apple on the iPad inability to play flash, it sounds that Adobe is totally pissed for being left out of the iPad celebration. Feel it, this is the way some of us feel when Adobe forced to used other video application when Adobe Premiere was launched Winodws only. Apple won’t ever let Adobe control the future of the iPhone OS and what I don’t understand is that if Flash is used by MILLION OF MOBILE PHONES why Adobe desperately wants the iPhone to play Flash.
The Flash player on the iPhone won’t be resolved by now, it is a economic situation, letting Flash runs on the iPhone will cut Apple‘s profit and blocking it makes sense from a business perspective, Adobe would to the same if Silverlight starts taking the whole internet by storm. So Adobe points your development resources to Windows Mobile, Symbian and Linux.
Let’s be clear, the iPad is and won’t be a Netbook, but it will take away some thunders from that segment, the iPad is not Kindle, but it will change how with read e-books right now in a way that Amazon.com hasn’t imagined, the iPad is not a Nintendo DS, but could make Nintendo future a lot uglier if game designers see it as a new form to sell their games, but what is worse is that the iPod Touch has been entering the casual mobile game segment, so there is nothing that holding the iPad to continue this trend.
