Apple needs an urgent revision to its advertising strategy apple shine desinformado 6x

Watching Apples’s new ads against Microsoft‘s Windows 7, I noticed how poorly those new ads get to the real point, while We can’t deny that the “I am a Mac” is a successful campaign (even mimmicked by Microsoft “I am a PC”), this campaign has consumed all its potential and it’s asking for a new more aggressive and iPhone-like advertising that show the real power behind the Mac, the Mac OS X and Apple as a company.

The sweet spot of the “I am a Mac” has waned and what made us laugh in the begining, now makes us look stupid, the fight is not about virus anymore, it is about people satisfaction, and Windows users believe that constantly fighting virus and everything that comes as an extra in Windows is part of their job, so Apple should focus in providing a real and entertaining new ad campaign with real people situation, real problem’s solutions and how real mac usage helps others achieve their daily job.

The “I am a Mac” is totally outdated and in some of them poorly orchestrated and while the Mac is better in some things, Windows 7 is closing the gap of people’s perception about how sour the Windows experience can be.

It’s time to shut down the “I am a Mac” for the Mac’s sake and launch a totally refreshed Mac campaign that emphasizes how easy to use is the Mac, not how bad is the PC.
