Acer AspireRevo Nettop arrives in the U.S.

Acer announced that AspireRevo R3610-U9012, an extremely compact, one-liter nettop, is now available for consumers in the U.S. This nettop is small, energy-efficient and packs enough power to serve as an entertainment center for the entire family.
Ultra-sleek, dark blue and about the size of a book, this space-saving and quiet computer makes it an easy fit for any room in the house. It can be used as a fully functional home office PC or as a multimedia hub for casual gaming when connected to an LCD or television.
Featuring NVIDIA ION™ supporting NVIDIA CUDA technology and Microsoft DirectX, the AspireRevo enables users to watch 1080p HD movies, play DirectX 10 games, and enjoy the 3D capabilities of Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium.
The AspireRevo is fueled by the low power, dual-core Intel® Atom™ 330 processor, designed distinctly for nettops and netbooks and ideal for social networking, VoIP, email, browsing and other online activities. The ultra-low-power consumption processor combined with optimized component placement reduces overall system noise for a comfortable, quiet environment.
“The AspireRevo is a practical and highly adaptable nettop for the home – powerful enough to take on games but so thin, it can be neatly hidden from view,” said Susan Hu, Desktop Product Manager for Acer America. “It’s also energy-efficient and quiet. Quite simply, AspireRevo provides a pleasant visual experience for enjoying digital photography, HD videos and even casual games, in a surprisingly compact device.”
Already compact, Acer AspireRevo can easily attach to a TV or LCD, to provide additional space savings. Via a special mounting system, it can connect to the back of an LCD or TV panel with a VESA attachment, offering an all-in-one capability. Connected to a large flat panel TV, AspireRevo gives families a small, quiet and fully capable PC in the living area or den for viewing digital photos and videos, videoconferencing and casual gaming with friends and family.
The screw-free design and small size minimize material and packing usage. Leveraging the ultra-low-consumption processor, it saves power and meets Energy Star® guidelines.
The system also comes with high-definition audio support, a large 160GB SATA hard drive(1) and 2GB DDR2 memory that enables good performance for a wide range of applications. Although the nettop is small, it comes with all the essential connectivity features. Offering a plethora of ports, the AspireRevo R3610 can connect to an array of digital devices. Gigabyte Ethernet and 802.11b/g/n wireless provide a fast network connection, while the HDMI™ port replicates full HD video.
