Firefox 3.5 for Mac is out…. who cares?

Firefox 3.5 is finally among us sporting a brand new javascript engine and with new features that cement its supremacy in innovation and flexibility and at the same time providing a browsing experience that will force other to follow its path or get out of the market.
Firefox 3.5 packs too many new improvements under the hood and while you are a mac or pc user those features will help your browsing experience and will take away a greater marketshare from Internet Explorer and others.
Firefox 3.5 is a very very polished version of an already good browser and their main focus was to take the browser speed where not other browser has gone before and believe me, this thing is fast thanks to its new TraceMonkey javascript engine.
The non-plugin Video feature is a real plus for those who don’t know a dime about making their browser works with plugins for watching the latest video, this is a really welcome feature.
The improvements in the security browsing is a nice implementation and the easy way to manage history and Private Browsing provides the dumber-ready way to protect your privacy online. Please don’t ask for more here, this is done and done correctly.
Firefox 3.5 took some cue from other browsers when it comes to manage/create new tabs, but the whole Tab management is still slow and not as elegantly as on Safari 4, but there are improving it.
I was expecting a redesign on how Firefox manages Bookmarks, this area needs to be built from the ground up to provide a graphically-rich management of your Bookmarks, the other one is the RSS, I hate how RSS are placed on a drop-down menu and not on a browser page, this is really poor and ugly.

The 3.5 rendered some of my Add-ons useless, this is a common frustration when updating any new application, some plugin makers take their time to refresh those little apps that help us achieve a better experience, so there is not Alexa Toolbar for Firefox 3.5 by now and many others.
In general, Firefox 3.5 brings tremendous improvement under the hood and while the design is the same, there are a lot of gems that will make your browsing experience the most exciting one, providing protection online, faster browsing, better font management, new CSS and HTML5 and a non-plugin video feature will put Firefox in the front of the front, there is not much to ask for.
We, Mac users expend more time using Safari, but Firefox is a perfect replacement when Safari starts behaving erratically.
