Palm has the momentum, Apple got the numbers iphone3gs 3up425

I have been reading about the Palm Pre everywhere, even in religion newsletters, everybody is crazy about the Palm Pre features, multitasking, the WebOS and one hundred more features plus the ability to mimmick an ipod to get synced using iTunes, but the party is over for Palm, now is Apple party and while the Pre is a powerful device, Palm is not a newcomer, it is Apple who is trying to capture a virgin market doing exceptional design in both hardware and software to ended up dominating a a segment of the telecommunication industry that has been plagued with hundreds of not so smartphones.

Las week was the formal introduction of the Palm Pre and while the buzz was higher than ever for a non-Apple product, analysts estimate that Palm sold not more than 100 thousands Pre, something so smaller that could represent a abysmal abuse if compared with this weekend iPhone 3G S sales…. Apple is reporting sales over the one million units, a 20 times the same ammount sold by Palm in the same period of time. But the game is not over yet, Palm is still enjoying stellar sales and Sprint is reporting activation records on its own.

One-million units sold and six million download of the iPhone OS 3.0 represent an extraordinary milestone and means that while the Palm Pre got all the media attentions, Apple is still the king when it comes to move massive sales… If this is not the world record in mobile phone sale, then it is near of it. Keep on.
