Michael Dell to Keynote NVTC’s Titans Luncheon Event

The Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC), the largest technology council in the nation, announced today that Michael Dell, Founder, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, Dell Inc. will keynote the February 3rd Premier Titans Series luncheon.
In an infrequent visit to the Washington area, Dell will discuss emerging green technology, critical investments in infrastructure and steps to stay liquid in these challenging economic times. Attendees will also learn why Dell Inc. is going through a significant evolution at this time, Dell’s thoughts on IT’s role in U.S. competitiveness and how Dell Inc. plans to successfully compete in Chinese and Indian markets. The session will be moderated by Gary Shapiro, President and CEO of the Consumer Electronics Association, who will lead the conversation with Dell followed by an interactive Q&A session with attendees.
After founding the company in 1984 with $1,000 and the idea to have direct relationships with customers, Michael Dell became the youngest CEO to earn a Fortune 500 ranking in 1992. He also authored a book titled Direct from Dell: Strategies that Revolutionized an Industry that documents the rise of the company and his strategies that have transpired and transformed businesses across all industries.
