MacWorld Expo has started to loose relevancy since Apple announced it will drop out in the next year Mac related Expo and Convention after decades of excitements, product predictions, out of this world keynotes from Steve Jobs and more.

MacWorld marked us, we lived and breathed MacWorld and it is a shame Apple decided to make its case in any other way, nobody really knows how we reached this sour state, but reality is always cruel and we won’t see a Apple product introduction or keynote at future MacWorlds.

I really believe that this is the real end, everybody will stay out of MacWorld because of Apple, so if IDG is planning to continue pushing MacWorld forward there is a better place where die hard mac users will fit, it is called CES, the CES is the bigger electronic show one earth and as Apple is changing its product strategy, now macs fits perfectly in electronic related places that in the past considered Apple a unwelcome stranger.

I really see this possibility, it will give mac, ipod and iphones product makers a bigger exposure, a really big audience and at the same time will help IDG gets a better pricing renting the Expo space, if IDG fails to act quickly and continue alone with MacWorld, then the fate of this beloved Expo is doomed as it was with MacWorld New York and Boston.

It is time to consolidation, Macworld fits perfectly into CES and will both benefit from the audience, MacWorld should have its own space in any hotel in Las Vegas, this move could greatly benefit companies that attend both Expos.

Economy has forced other big Expos to abandon its yearly tradition and will do it this time with MacWorld, every year is very difficult to spend thousand of dollars in different Expos and Conventions, so it is a natural path to follow for IDG with MacWorld, if Apple is out, then everybody will be out soon.
