Mac OS X and Safari up – Windows and IE down
The recent surveys by NetApplication shows that Mac OS X is getting traction against Windows, Mac OS X now has a 8.8% of the OS marketshare and Windows is 89.62%. Mac OS X is taking away a small portion of the market even without any advertisement or splashy promotion from Apple.
Apple has failed to let Windows users know that they can run any Windows application on the mac or play their favorite hardcore game and has put all its energy on selling iPods and iPhones while the mac lags behind.
On the Browser side, Safari is up too with a 7.13% of browser marketshare and Microsoft Internet Explorer 69.77%.
