Real Estate application for the iPhone and Android done right
Today RealEstate.com announces the addition of iPhone and Google Android compatible Web sites to its growing mobile phone suite called RealEstate.com Mobile. The new mobile Web sites are free for iPhone and Google Android phone users and provide access to more than two million home listings nationwide. Visitors can search homes for sale nationally, and also have the ability to view home estimates from RealEstate.com’s Home Price Check(R) tool, which includes more than 97 million values from across the country.
“In light of today’s tough housing market, RealEstate.com is doing everything it can to help consumers get their hands on current and useful data so they can make smart decisions when looking for and purchasing homes,” says Greg Hanson, vice president of product excellence, RealEstate.com. “Our goal is to empower consumers with information about their home search when they want it and how they want it. Today’s enhancements to our mobile suite enables an additional 11 million users to view property information on the fly, combined with the more than 50 million who already have access to our mobile data services through AT&T and Sprint.”
Users can browse the RealEstate.com Web site directly from their iPhone or Google Android phone by visiting http://www.realestate.com/iphone or http://www.realestate.com/android , or for short, http://i.re.com or http://a.re.com . For easy access, users can also add a RealEstate.com icon to their phone desktop by book-marking the applicable page. Searching for homes is as easy as entering a zip code, city and state, or Multiple Listing Service (MLS) number. For more detailed searches, users can also filter by price range, number of bedrooms, and number of bathrooms.
When the search results appear on the users’ iPhone or Google Android phone displays, they can then dive into the details of the exterior and interior of each home, view the properties on a map, or email homes for sale to friends and family or themselves to view later. Search results include single family homes, multi-family homes, land, townhouses, or condos. A key feature of RealEstate.com’s application empowers users to access a national network of real estate professionals who are local specialists and available to help. When they are ready to visit homes for sale, learn about a neighborhood, or negotiate a deal, users can call an agent with one touch.
