It was a matter of time for linux dev-hackers to have their favorite OS into the iPhone, this times has come and we are excited. Let’s hope Apple doesn’t break it in the next update, instead a formal support will be welcomed…
Take a look a what is available now:
- Framebuffer driver
- Serial driver
- Serial over USB driver
- Interrupts, MMU, clock, etc.
What is still in progress in openiboot (but hasn’t been ported yet):

- Write support for the NAND
- Wireless networking
- Touchscreen
- Sound
- Accelerometer
- Baseband support
