Apple fails to advertise Mac OS X Real Potentials

Apple fails to advertise Mac OS X Real Potentials mac os x 10 5 leopard

Apple has been doing a tremendous job revealing Microsoft weakest spots, where Windows cracks or how badly it is to work with Vista running in an underpowered PC and these things have worked for Apple, the “I am a Mac” campaign is working better than expected and even Microsoft decided to rip it off creating a similar, but defensive “I am a PC” advertising campaign.

But, instead of focusing in showing the World how Windows Vista poor performance is why not to demonstrate us what Mac OS X could do to ease our daily interaction with computers and how easy is to accomplish any given task with a few clicks in OS X in comparison with Vista.

Apple could even gain more traction if it advertise OS X‘s ability to work in Windows based networks, showing Bootcamp playing all the PC games or Parallel running Windows and Linux simultaneously, there is a bunch of aspect unexploited by Apple about Mac OS X that could help drive more Windows converters.

The other day watching Mister Maker, a Discovery Kids program, I noticed a segment where Mister Maker demonstrates how to do a task in 1 minute and came to my mind something similar for a Mac OS X TV spot, “Can your Windows PC do that in less than 3 Clicks”, this could be a series that show how quick and easy is to do almost everything in your mac with less than 3 clicks, this has to be an iphone-like spot, where it clearly states and shows how things are done.

Let’s just hope for Apple to put some love to the Mac OS X advertising, the I am a Mac campaign is working, but Mac OS X has more potentials and Apple needs to show them to the public.
