OpenOffice 3.0 is poised to take on Microsoft Office on price and features
OpenOffice.org released their OpenOffice 3.0 in native form for the Macintosh for the first time, now it is faster and takes advantages of Apple‘s technology. The new Office Suite 3.0 runs on intel macs while non-intel mac runs the 2.41 version still available.
OpenOffice is a free upgrade and can be downloaded from www.openoffice.org, it is a 168 mb file and offers everything for your business and personal use, from basic text editing to complex spreadsheets and the most important feature is that this new version can open Microsoft Office 2007 documents and Office 2008 for Mac.
OpenOffice is a perfect companion in our daily office stuff, giving us a hard reason to never again spend any money buying Microsoft Office Suite, it is a robust, well thought and streamlined version that can make your bank account happy.
