Intel attacks poor iPhone performance due to ARM chips
Intel has started a campaign to place its MID chip inside as many mobile phones and net devices as possible and their most immediate strategy is to start fighting ARM chip inside the iPhone, bashing and buzzing around about the poor iPhone performance due to the ARM won’t get Intel any good position at Apple.
“The shortcomings of the iPhone are not because of Apple,” Intel’s director of ecosystems for its ultra-mobility group Pankaj Kedia said at the Intel Developer Forum in Taipei, Taiwan. “The shortcomings of the iPhone have come from ARM.”
But one thing is to talk about rivals’ product deficiencies, but there isn’t a complete demonstration between both chips, the Intel’s Atom and the ARM one found inside the iPhone, the story could be totally different, if Intel gets better battery management and more for the same price or better priced chip, then Apple should jump ships, but don’t forget that Apple bought P.A. Semi, a company dedicated to produce chips based on ARM technology, so the Atom will have to wait a long time, Apple is in position to design its own chips.
Sorry Intel, ARM is the way to go for Apple, now… You better start a “Get an Atom” campaign as soon as you can.
