Yesterday launch of the iPhone 3G demonstrated that Apple didn’t anticipate how big this second coming would be and that if the first version became a sensational hit, this next version will be even bigger than Apple itself.

This is the first time in mobile history that an upgrade of any cell phone resulted in an instant megahit worldwide and even Nokia hasn’t enjoyed the same level of costumers commitment with their products. Apple is setting the bar too higher even for them and this could force them to renew its strategy faster to stay ahead of Apple itself.

iPhone killers have come and gone and none of them have fill the space left by Apple with the original iPhone, we were all arguing about Apple decision to go with Edge instead of 3G technology, the lack of copy and paste and even the luxury price, now all those rants and rave didn’t prove to be a factor taken into account for millions of people buying the first generation.

But at the same time this new iPhone became a hit for Apple some problems started to flow, mobileme service suffered some glitches and was pull back, activation at the Apple Store didn’t work properly for thousand of new iPhone 3G users and out of stock stores that didn’t anticipate this kind of success for the second coming of the iPhone.
