The clock is ticking and the launch day for the new iPhone 3G is coming faster, people are making lines in front of some Apple Store waiting to get their hands on the shiny gadget.

Expect this week some stupid announcements from Apple‘s rivals, price reduction, introduction of new models that aren’t ready to ship in 6 months, but the idea is to derail the Apple‘s launch. In the past, even Microsoft used this tactic to take the media attention from Apple.

News that Rogers was punished by Apple, prompted major reviews of other carriers Plan prices that were to hurt their customers’ pockets and at the same time turn some iphone customers to others cheapers mobile phone with better voice and data plan price.

This week will be slow as we are desperate to have this upgraded version and the thousand new applications that the AppStore will bring, we just hope that there aren’t any strong weather news, plane crashing, ship wrecking or any killing spree news that may take the shine to this friday event.
