Are the Beatles still relevant for iTunes… well, I don’t think so
Years have come and gone and we are still waiting for the digital catalog of The Beatles and as things go there isn’t light at the end of the tunnel, nobody knows when or where get their digital version of our eternal favorite band.
The permanet fight between Apple Computers and Apple Corp (history review) has blocked any possibility for Apple’s iTunes to have the Beatles on board.
But, are the Beatles still relevant for iTunes… well, I don’t think so. iTunes has reached the 5 Billion mark and counting, making the Beatles entrance an important event, but not needed one.
If the Beatles’s catalog owners decide to put the entire collection on itunes or any other music outlet the success is totally guaranteed, but it won’t represent for Apple something more extraordinary than that, the music industry has been so stupid and lazy that for them is easier to hunt for P2P sharers than start doing its job providing cheaper and quick-to-market alternatives. It has been too much time waiting for the Beatles and millions lost in sales oportunities.
Maybe some day, maybe…..
